Spent Grain Flour

My girl is extremely resourceful. We're talking McGuyver levels. Blindfolded, with her hands tied behind her back and armed  nothing more than a rubber band, a coffee straw, and a chicken bone she can make a three course meal. Like that level or resourceful. So when the brew produced spent grain, which I casually mentioned could be turned into flour to make stuff. I probably should have assumed that was going to be a thing.

So the Milk and Honey Stout used a partial mash with chocolate malt, honey malt, and roasted barley. She dried it out using a dehydrator with cheesecloth on the trays (I'm still attempting to determine whether dehydrator ownership is prerequisite for food blogging or the cause thereof). Then we pulsed the s*#@ out of the dried grain in my blender.

Here's what you get

It smells kind of like brownie mix less the sugar, so naturally the plan is to make brownies with it.

Stay tuned...
